Zbushin' in 07

Here's some recent Zbrush projects I have been noodling with. First, here are some images of the modle used in the new animation I posted (see"New Animation" post):

This model went back and forth between zbrush and Modo

Here are some images of a work in progress, a little octopus type creature...

Might be cool to animate him in Maya using some nCloth dynamics....

(Maybe some day is I ever get free time!)

Design 4 Science

Several of the animations I did for Stylus (SRP, Bustamante, and Wrigley) will be part of an exhibit in Sunderland England in a few weeks. The exhibit is part of the Design For Science project sponsored by the Wellcome Trust. It will ne moving on at some point to th Nobel museum in Stockholm, Sweden. Pretty Cool!

new animation

I've been working on some experiments, trying to translate some of my recent painter organic images/concepts into 3D animations. Here's my first attempt (Zbrush, Modo, Maya, and After Effects). This is kind of like a step beyond the work I did on Invasion. Not sure what it is, just something gross. This is microscopic as opposed to EM scanning. Maybe 4 to 6X magnification, hence the specular highlights. Click the image to view the movie (16 MB). Unfortunately the sorenson compression has washed out the colors, the version in my upcoming demo reel will be have more contrast.
